We are on the doorstep of the 2025 Walleye League season, and we have all the ingredients for an incredible year! The 2025 H2H Walleye League features all the same bodies of water as last season. But with 7 new teams in the mix, we are looking at a totally different playing field.
Many asked when our schedule came out, “Why only Winnebago and Green Bay?” Our response is, why not? Lake Winnebago and the Bay of Green Bay have been destination Walleye fisheries for about as long as competitive walleye fishing has been around. That being said, our schedule features a balance of both, with four visits to the Bay of Green Bay and three to the Winnebago System. This was done to ensure that neither the Bago guys or the Bay guys could dominate the season, and you would have to be diverse to claim that top seed.
Although our schedule has a lot of similarities to the 2024 season, our roster looks very different. This season features 7 new teams: Mootz/Mootz, McQuoid/Labs, Nickel/Gohlke, Grams/Grams, Clause/Ackley, Derlein/Berriochoa, and Okada. Most of these teams are true H2H rookies and have never truly felt the intensity that H2H brings. Others, like Joe Okada, are returning to H2H after a hiatus. Does this give him a head start on the competition as he knows how to manage the stress and anxiety felt during H2H competition? Or will one of the “true rookies” find their stride early and make a run at it? Either way, the teams coming back for season two with the Walleye League have proven they have the chops to dominate in the H2H format and will be tough to beat, especially in the early part of this season as others try to gain momentum. As we all know, this is just pre-season speculation. Nothing is proven true until the rubber meets the road on April 16th when our anglers blast off onto the Bay of Green Bay and the Weighlive Tracker is turned on for the first time. It will be intense, and you will not want to miss it. Catch all of the action LIVE on www.phyx.tv or on our YouTube Channel, H2H Fishing.
