Meet The Angler: Thomas Larson

June 29, 2021 1:31 pm

Thomas Larson is from Norfolk, Nebraska. Thomas has been tournament fishing for many years and has fished many of the major walleye circuits in the country throughout his career.

He has some impressive accolades including a 3rd place finish at the Big Stone Lake MWC event in 2017, a 2nd place co-angler finish for the Devils Lake NWT in 2018, 4th place pro-angler finish at the NWT Lake Winnebago, and multiple high finishes at local events.

Thomas guides in Nebraska during the open water season. When Thomas isn’t fishing, he is spending time with his family which includes his fiance and his daughter. He also enjoys hunting in his free time when he gets the opportunity.

Thomas alludes to the fact that he isn’t a power fisherman, so to speak, and likes to fish very thoroughly. He says that having only 3 days to pre-fish for each event, he will need to trust his electronics and keep things simple as best he can to catch as many walleyes as he can. He’s excited to be a part of the inaugural PWS season and notes how cool it will be for his family and friends to be able to see directly what goes on in the boat during a tournament.
