The H2H Bass League kicks off in just a few short weeks on Little Lake Butte Des Morts. Just like the Walleye League, we start our season in the same place, but with some fresh new teams in the mix. 

Of those teams, we have FIVE father/son duos competing: Wa Meng and Chee Meng Lee, Dale and Grant Neubauer, Matt and Hank Stefan, Brian and Ben Tesch, and Dave and Mitch Van Ert. This will bring an interesting dynamic to the competition as half of the Bass League teams do not have the traditional “team partner” aspect. Last season, Wa Meng and Chee Meng Lee were the only father-son duo competing, and the dynamic had its highs and lows as they were the last team into the bracket and only collected 3 wins throughout the season. That being said, the Eisch/Richard duo had a father-and-son type of dynamic, and they were the 2024 Bass League champions! 

It will be interesting to see how these father/son teams mesh and mold throughout the season. One thing is for sure: they will be entertaining. Many of us anglers have similar experiences where family introduced us to the sport and our earliest fishing memories are with close family members.
