The second day of the 2022 H2H Walleye Opener II determines our cutline to see who goes home and who will advance.
After Day 1 we all knew we didn’t see the full potential of the Fox River this time of the year. However, we had nearly every team get on the board with a scorable fish. Shortly after lines in, we saw several fish caught, and we even had a report that the water clarity improved, an excellent sign.
Striking first, we saw Crossman and Powers catch several scorable fish and quickly make their way above the cutline. Crossman and Powers started the day in 13th place, and within no time at all, they were the team to chase. As the day went on, we saw some teams like Jackson and Burmeister, Westphal and Casey, and Saxon and McCoy make big moves up the leaderboard.
The Fox was hit with intermittent rain as the day went on, but that didn’t stop our anglers from dialing up the non-stop action. On today’s menu for these walleyes were blade baits, lipless cranks, and we even saw some hair jigs and jigs with paddle tails as well.

Anyone that watched the event last hour of the day saw several cutline changes as the action started to heat up. The fishing turned for the better where we had eight teams of the fourteen catch double-digit numbers of scorable walleyes!
Be sure to check out all the matchups below as our GREAT8 is set! With these anglers starting to put some patterns together we should have an extremely exciting Day 3 as we get closer to crowning a new champion team! Show starts at 8:45 AM CST at www.h2hfishing.com!
