The Head 2 Head Walleye League is a grassroots fishing league that allows the most ambitious anglers their opportunity to achieve their professional fishing goals. Anglers wishing to fish in the Head 2 Head Walleye League must pay a membership fee of $40 or $100. Once you are an angler in an affiliated club you must compete and prove yourself throughout each season earning enough points to fish a qualifying Head 2 Head regional event. Anglers emerging victorious from the regional events then move on to fish the Head 2 Head Nationals, which consists of 30 anglers battling for prize money and an invitation to fish the Head 2 Head Pro Walleye Series.
Club must maintain a minimum of 5 Head 2 Head Members, have 4 events per calendar year, and have all membership dues paid by July 1st of that season for anglers to be eligible to fish Regional Events.
A percentage of anglers from each club will be eligible to fish one of three regional events. Eligibility will be determined by points and membership standing. Regions include, but are not limited to Western US, Central US, Eastern US, Canada and Europe.
The top ten anglers from each region will qualify to fish the zero-entry fee National. The national event is a 5-day event that will be live-streamed from start to finish, ending with a $50,000 total prize purse!
The Shield World Championship is the pinnacle for all Head 2 Head Fishing events as it is the grand finale for the year prior and the ultimate kickoff for the season to come. A 5-Day Event that puts the top 8 anglers from the Pro Walleye Series and the top 8 anglers from the Walleye League Nationals against each other in a true “Head 2 Head” format!
