What a week we had at H2H on Lake McConaughy in Nebraska. Our week featured lightning storms, hail, winds, big fish, and most importantly the GAINES TRAIN!
Day 4, the first day of the FINTASTIC4 started with dark skies over Lake McConaughy as lightning, rain, hail, and winds moved in.
Day 3 of the PWS Lake McConaughy Event just looked like walleye catching day with overcast skies and a good chop on the water!
The second day of our Lake McConaughy Event started with some cloud cover, wind, and dreams of Nebraska GIANTS!
It seemed like forever and a day since our last PWS Event! You can only imagine how excited our anglers are to be at a unique fishery like Lake McConaughy!
Drama runs deep in tournament fishing, and there’s been no shortage of it in 2021 in the Head2Head Pro Walleye Series.
Thanks to my tournament successes catching walleyes with jigging spoons, I can rarely do a fishing seminar without folks asking me to explain how to fish with a spoon.
As a child, I remember waking up at the crack of dawn with grandpa tickling my toes and saying, “It’s time to go fishing! Time is a wasting.”
A few days ago, professional fishing tournament angler Marianne Huskey made history by becoming the first woman angler to win a major walleye tournament.
One of the most overwhelming aspects for any angler is being on a body of water they are unfamiliar fishing.
What a ride! H2H PWS Mississippi River Pool 2 was full of ups and downs, but in the end, one angler remained!
With Day 4 coming to an end, we now have our final championship matchup set for Friday.
Today, we saw many of the same techniques as we saw on Day 1.
Day 1 of our fourth stop of the 2021 PWS Season has us on the Mississippi River, Pool 2.
Finding new ways to catch fish is a subject that consumes an angler’s thoughts night and day. What haven’t the fish seen yet? Would they eat that? What if I tried this?
Event 3 at Lake Mille Lacs was everything it was expected to be: lots of fish and big time drama, with new faces rocketing above the AOY (Angler of the Year) cutline.
WHAT. A. DAY!
Lake Mille Lacs produced a lot of fish and a lot of excitement. Nice job to all of our anglers! Enjoy!
The historic waters of Lake Mille Lacs are definitely not disappointing as our FINTASTIC4 anglers set out this morning.
Well ladies and gentleman, what a day we had in Minnesota on Lake Mille Lacs for Day 3 of the H2H PWS Event 3!
If you have been following along with us at our Lake Mille Lacs event you have seen a lot of fish being caught by a lot of very good anglers.
As Day 2 of our Event 3 got under way it’s safe to say we were all happy to see some ripples on the water and a few clouds in the sky – a recipe for Mille Lacs action!
Many anglers know that a slip bobber can be a dynamite technique when targeting walleye.
The stage has been set as we all tuned in to see if famous Lake Mille Lacs could live up to its legendary name. Spoiler alert…it did!
There probably is not another walleye lake in America that can rival Lake Erie’s fame other than sprawling Mille Lacs Lake in northeastern Minnesota.
Despite a slow bite at times, our Lake Wisconsin Event was able to show us some quality walleyes being caught…many of which came on a plastic paddle tail minnow.
“It was a grind.” That’s pretty much what our staff and fans heard from the 32 anglers all five days about the bite on the second stop of the Pro Walleye Series tour this past week on Lake Wisconsin.
